For those of you who are not familiar with this name, Jackie Evancho is a 10 or 11- year old girl who has a wonderfully clear and expressive voice – quite a phenomenon for a girl of her age. I happened to catch her on tv once recently.  She sings classical music as well as lighter things, and you don’t have the sense that she is trying to appear older than she is. A lovely girl with a spectacular gift.
